Palm House

Muntinlupa

Situated on a beautifully landscaped 1,000 sqm lot, Palm House is a proposed five-bedroom residence that exemplifies mid-century modern design. Its striking facade features a harmonious blend of crisp white paint, louvered windows, and warm terracotta wall cladding. This combination creates a balanced and minimalist exterior, resulting in a home that is both timeless and contemporary.

Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed by a contemporary sculpture by Daniel Dela Cruz and a serene reflecting pool, strategically placed to greet guests. The sculpture is thoughtfully positioned in front of a window frame in the living room, offering an ever-changing visual experience from morning to night as natural light interacts with its form.

The second floor of Palm House showcases jalousie windows, enhancing natural ventilation in the tropical climate while staying true to the mid-century modern aesthetic. The design features geometric shapes and angles reminiscent of mid-20th-century architecture, complemented by a slightly asymmetrical roofline with gentle slopes and overhangs that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Inside, the mid-century theme continues with clean, uncluttered lines and a carefully curated selection of furniture. Rich, warm wood accents throughout the living areas add depth and texture, honoring the era’s design ethos.

The transition to the backyard reveals sleek outdoor furniture, a spacious garden, and a 15-meter swimming pool. The pool, along with the terracotta wall cladding that extends from the exterior into the lawn, ties the indoor and outdoor spaces together seamlessly, blending old-world charm with modern elegance. Palm House stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of mid-century modern design, harmoniously bridging past and present.
