Silî House
Silî House is a proposed renovation and extension project designed to revitalize an existing single-story residence, enhancing both its space and functionality to better serve a growing family. This transformation will not only expand the home but also infuse it with new energy and purpose.
The name “Silî” is derived from the Ilonggo word for the gentle sheen or lustre of the stone cladding used on the home’s enclosing fence. This subtle elegance is reflected in the design, aiming to blend seamlessly with the existing structure while introducing contemporary enhancements.
Embracing the spirit of Filipino modernity, Silî House pays homage to the cultural heritage of the original architecture. At the same time, it incorporates innovative design elements and adaptable features to meet the demands of modern living. This project represents a thoughtful fusion of tradition and progress, ensuring that the home remains both culturally resonant and functionally relevant for years to come.
